UNIT 3. PLANTS.

To finish and in the following images, here you are an example about the life cycle of an apple tree,the germination of a seed and how to plant a seed step by step:

EXPERIMENT TIME:  Now it´s your turn for planting your own seed of some white beans,for example and check the process about how they germinate:

You can do it in a glass container or in a ziplock bag as follows:

 

The trick to growing beans faster in less than 10 days is to put these beans into water during a whole night before planting them. After that, plant them the next day, following the steps below:

1- Place a few beans into a glass of water during a night.

2- Place these beans into a bag of a glass container within a wet paper or cotton and wait to see what happens...

3. A few days later, the stems start to push upward.

4-After ten days, the leaves begin to peek out of the seed coat.

5. Two weeks: the first true leaves appear while the stem continues to grow and grow.

During the whole process, you have to keep the seeds wet watering with a simple spray, take notes on how it is evolving in a diary and take photos of it in its different stages of growth as a final project.
